Tanglewood Wine and Food Classic

I’m thrilled to be working on food images as part of this year’s annual event in Lenox, Massachusetts. Debbi Otto, Tanglewood Food and Wine Program manager, and Kyle Ronayne, BSO director of Events Administration, are in the spring planning phase for the festival which includes seminars, celebrity chef dinners, a grand tasting and cooking demonstrations.

From farm to table, a commitment to use locally sourced food is the theme for my photos. I’m transfer printing on “paper” made from limestone and resin.  I like the heavy quality of the matte surface. The method involves inkjet printing to DASS™ film. The water soluble ink is then transferred to the paper with an alcohol gel and allowed to dry overnight. The final step—washing off the gel medium—leaves the ink embedded in the stone paper yet with subtle variations of a hands-on process.
