Where did Olives come from? Olive is a picture book with general information about the cultivation of olive trees, the harvesting and pressing of olives to produce oil, and the role olive oil plays in eating a healthy Mediterranean diet. I took photographs of olive trees on several trips to Italy. L’Olivo di S.Emiliano, is registered asa protected tree near the town of Trevi. It is thought to be the oldest olive tree in Umbria and is fenced to allow tourists to visit it while protecting it from any damages.
